Happy New Year everyone!
For me 2010 will be a year ... in BIO. Bio And I mean not only the use of organic food but a way of life that allows us, in our small way, to protect the environment and people. Of course the process is very slow ... I started last April by eliminating bags full of plastic bottles , continuously removing the pads today for the dishwasher, replacing them with a detergent DIY ".
The process is slow because it is difficult to change habits. The tablets for the dishwasher, for example, are comfortable but:
1) They pollute, and many more.
2) Altroconsumo has decreed that the quality of wash is best if you use the three products separately (rinse aid, detergent and salt).
So you might as well delete them and try this recipe contained in the Guide to detergents BioAllegri .
dishwashing liquid lemon
3 lemons 400 ml water 200 g salt
100 ml of white vinegar
Cut the lemons into slices by removing all the seeds and keeping the skin, blend with a mixer together with a bit 'water and salt. We must blend a long time to obtain a fine mess or risk clogging up the filter of the dishwasher and do not find residue on the dishes of lemon.
Put the pulp in a saucepan, add all the water and vinegar and boil for 10 minutes, stirring so as not to attack. When the mixture has thickened, pour into glass jars still hot in order to create a vacuum cleaner that keeps longer.
How to use the dishwasher for just 2 tablespoons, for dishes by hand at will on the sponge.
what remains: up to 2 months, preferably in a refrigerator
This detergent does not leave chemical residues on the dishes on which to eat then, just without the clean bright. Remember, however, that this do-it-yourself washing should not be used together with classical detergents for dishwashers as vinegar cancels the effectiveness of the detergent.

was so I wanted to try it, and despite the lack of trust of Richard, I have to say about our dishes worked great, thanks to a rib filter cleaning (necessary) to be done every 2 weeks.
And then .... GOODBYE PADS!
